  • Evaluation and Benchmarking a Portfolio of Company Locations
    Define location-related performance criteria and evaluate both company and other locations based on the criteria to determine potential locations for growth and retention as part of a company deployment strategy. For investors and developers, MS&B provides a comprehensive profile of a location within a commute radius of a specific site to determine the types of buildings and potential industries/segments that would be most appropriate for the site as well as any issues related to competition, the local labor force and other factors from an third party perspective.

    Facilitate a discussion with the client to determine the challenges they face, the opportunities they seek, and the critical role of location in the long term strategy of the organization.

  • Relocation Feasibility Analysis
    Provide the initial due diligence related to one-time costs and on-going cost differentials as well as other strategic considerations (potential risks vs. rewards) for relocating an operation to a new destination. The evaluation may include the base case (stay as is) along with short and long distance relocation options.

  • Location Screening Process
    Engage in a multi-tiered process of identifying, evaluating and determining the top location candidates to meet a client’s specific needs. Our team is highly experienced this process and effectively utilizes mapping and other graphic presentation tools to present the results in a manner that supports the client’s decision-making process.

  • Location and Site Visits
    Direct visits to each top location candidate to interview existing employers, review real estate options, discuss potential incentive offerings, and gain a first-hand feel of the location and whether it meets the needs of the client.

  • Incentive Evaluation and Negotiations
    Based on the type and size of operation, MS&B negotiates, on a flat fee basis, an optimum incentive package for the top location candidates. MS&B’s philosophy is to charge a flat fee to maximize the return for the client and to negotiate a win-win situation for the client and the community as it is critical to develop a good long-term working relationship between the parties.

  • Implement Relocation
    Provide options for a relocation policy, identify relocation and real estate service providers as needed and share insights from past relocation projects.
